On the 11th November Reception, year one and year two walked to the Memorial Hall in Otterburn and laid their poppy wreath beside those from the rest of the community. The children looked at the memorial and all the names of the people who had died in the First World War.
They then continued to walk around the village and all the children had a chance to use an Ipad to take a photo of a part of the village which was of interest to them. The children will use their photos to help them with their DT project – making a model of Otterburn.
All the children walked really well and although it was 2 miles, they were not too tired for 5 minutes in the play park!
