Winter Wonderland

An amazing time was had yesterday by all the staff and children when we visited Winter Wonderland at Kielder.  The weather was a crisp winter’s day – perfect for the occasion!

Each group of children took turns on the snow tube which sent them whizzing down a steep snow slope in a tyre inner tube.  They also spent time skating on the synthetic ice rink which resulted i many a wet pairs of trousers but ended with some superb skating.  Well done everyone.

The reception, year one and year two children visited Robin Hood’s cabin for fun and games whilst the Year three and four children competed against each other in the archery shed.

At lunch time a special guest made an appearance and the children were delighted to see Father Christmas with Little Ted and their Star Book.  Father Christmas chatted with the children before he gave them all a special Christmas bauble which will help him to find their houses on Christmas Eve!  The children sang Father Christmas some traditional Christmas songs and gave him some art work they had produced in school.

We would all like to thank the PTA for arranging such a fantastic day and to all of our parents for their continued support at all of our fund raising activities.  It is your generosity that makes these trips possible.

Thank you.
